JAMES BUTTERFIELD

James Butterfield (he/him) is an actor/writer based in Manchester. Having previously graduated the Royal Exchange’s Young Company, James went on to co-found both Switch_MCR and Hung Theatre. Prioritising and championing new writing, James looks to continue to listen to and push the voice of our generation.

His work with Switch_MCR includes: The House (2019) writer, We Won’t Fall (2020) actor. James has recently become Head of New Writing for Switch_MCR and looks forward to meeting many new writers in the coming months.
